Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Jason Kidd underwent a successful right hip arthroplasty Monday, December 21st. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel first reported Kidd’s plans to have surgery.
“It’s been chronic for the last three to four years, since I was in Dallas the last time”. Kidd said the surgery will be performed by Dr. Edwin Su, one of the leading hip specialists in the country, at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NY. Kidd is not sure when he can coach again but he expects to return for office work in about two weeks.
“I’ve taken all the medicine I can do. Talking with the doctors, there’s really no good time to do a surgery, so in talking through that, this is what we have to do”. “I tried to put off surgery for as long as I could”, Kidd said in a statement.
